Ok… so I’m really paranoid about getting the swine flu because my brother and my mom both have it. I was sick over the weekend but not with the flu (a sort of tired out/headache/chill combo) and am better. Now, however, I have an irritation in my throat and cough once in a while. I know both my brother and mom had a cough at the beginning too but I am wondering if there is any way it is not swine.
Do you know where I can find statistics on how many people die from regular flu so I can compare it to how many die with swine flu. What are the dangers of both and how are the different from eachother. This is all for an argument I’m having with someone that thinks swine flu is extremely worse than regular flu. I think the media over played it. Thanks for any answers.
I find absolutely no difference. My dad got a sheet from the doctor with the flu symptoms and the swine flu symptoms and they were the exact same things.
So I’m wondering, what exactly is the difference? 
Swine flu doesn’t have anything to do with pigs, actually. That’s one of the reasons the name was changed to H1N1.
Is there anything to really worry about? Are the swine and regular flu the same? Why is there such a huge issue with the swine flu?
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the difference is between a cold and the swine flu? I went to the doctor the other day as I have been sick and he just gave me antibiotics. It makes me wonder, he didnt ask me is i had been travelling or do any tests. I am concerened about the swine flu!
there’s no vaccine to either. people die from both. not everyone who has gotten swine flu has died. most people who have died from the disease lived in impoverished areas, were very young or very old and their bodies weren’t strong enough to fight off the disease, didn’t have enough money to take care of themselves properly, or had poor hygiene. Is there really much of a difference between the swine flu and the regular flu? Are people worrying too much over the swine flu?
I am a bit astounded that doctors in minor clinics in Nova Scotia can claim to have diagnosed swine flu in four high-school students. Are they using some form of test like the HIV western blot, or are they just looking at these people weezing and in light of the present hysteria, saying OH MY GOD! SWINE FLU!
Is swine flu as deadly as they claim it to be.Could the vaccine be more deadly than the vaccine itself as some claim it to be?I feel like there has not been enough research on this new vaccine about side affects for the people instead of using it on people before further research of using on rats first instead of people? Recently, websites about confirmed cases are no longer updated. In the newspapers, there are only news about deaths from swine flu generally. The numbers also show deaths generally.
Do they no longer collect number of confirmed cases? Is there a website which shows the number of current swine flu cases worldwide? (regularly updated website)
If you provide a good website, I will give full mark.
I don’t know why people are over reacting so much to the swine flu. Is it more deadly than the regular influenza? Many People get the flu every year, some may die from it, some may recover. But They never closed schools just because someone died from the flu. So why is the swine flu any different?
