Ok look ive had rome tota war since it came out and yes it has had scratches on it but not enough to ruin it, so before the summer of 2009 my rome total war worked fine infact better cause i added more memory and better graphics card. Then around the end of summer it started doing just this…..
1. when started game worked fine (perfecto)
2. Played game for about a minute to about 5 minutes (campaign) and it got really slow choppy!
3. Battle map: Used to work extreamly fine with my new graph card and memory but now out of nowhere whenever i keep it running for 5 minutes or engage the enemy it gets really really slow.
Now ive tried everything re-installing checking card, memory,ram and about 5 minutes ago cleaned computer out with compressed air(got dust off fan etc)
I really need help as ROME TOTAL WAR is my favorite computer game please help my friends got swine flu and i got notin to do this weekend i need some help. Thanks.

I would really reccomend downloading a NO-CD crack, which allows you to play the game without the CD, which could possibly be your problem.

Has a No-CD crack for any of the versions for Rome: Total War
After you download the file, extract the file called "RomeTW.exe", and extract it C:/Program Files/Activison OR The Creative Assembly/Rome: Total War
It will then ask you to replace a file, and click "Yes to all"
Click the Rome: Total War icon on your desktop, or wherever it is located, and Enjoy!
